Hypnotic And Rather Spooky....

Free Writing 1#

Trouble at work. I had to help. Only four hours. It's just a job.  I needed to be more presentable. Trouble with my appearance.  Why is my hair blue? Where have you all gone? Help.  I'm lost, you're lost. Blue.  Photographers everywhere why?

If I could climb, I think I can see the star. So bright above me. Close but almost out of reach. I need the star. It calls for a wish. I need to find some height, a ladder, chair, there's nothing but the dark, looming. I hear voices. Dangerous voices. I need the star to survive. So I can go home. I hope I can go home...the star is dying out - I'm just out of reach now, reach! then gone. Dark.

Creative writing left me buzzing yesterday even though there were only four members (even our leader was missing!) but we did get to try something that I have never tried before. Free writing. A way of writing almost mindlessly and letting your brain wonder. It's a little like being hypnotised, Emma our leader for the night talked us into a sort of trance/half asleep state letting us dreg up feelings we felt about previous dreams and it was a truly spooky experience. Writing what you have thought of with your eyes closed I have attempted this free times, twice in the presence of company, and a last tonight to test it at home and it is really inspiring so, without further ado, here is what was written at creative writing:

PS: These are all completely unedited of what I wrote on the night :D

Authors' Notes on Writing #1: This was related to a dream I had: being asked by my friend to take over his job at work but had to dye my hair - this lead to my hair becoming blue and both friend and boyfriend had disappeared and photographers were taking pictures of people in the saloon I had gone to except from me. Strange dream, I woke very confused!

Authors' Notes on Writing #2:  This was written about twenty minutes later, after being made to think about an imaginary location going towards an object and this is what I emerged with. I totally wasn't expecting this so I was a little bit spooked but I'm still proud of my full sentences.

I will save the third for another post when more relevant to my new piece of work, as I was able to discuss my invention brief last night and I think it's definitely a winner even if there was only four of us! I'll let you into the secret next week when more of the writing group know about it! Thanks for reading
